Courage is not the absence of fear but rather the judgement that something is more important than fear; The brave may not live forever but the cautious do not live at all.

Julie-Marie Agustin-Lewis is a freelance screen composer whose passion for writing music began at a young age while teaching herself how to play the piano in her parents’ study in Florida. Her main musical background is in flute performance, in which she completed her Bachelor’s and Master’s degree. Julie-Marie has gained experience playing in many different ensembles including symphonic bands, symphonic orchestras, and various chamber music groups. She also teaches private flute lessons and has been given opportunities to teach masterclasses and lead group sectionals.

Although she has gained much experience as a performer and teacher, Julie-Marie is falling back on what initially lit her fire for music and rekindled her roots in musical composition.

Julie-Marie is currently looking to write for an independent gaming developer and perform and collaborate with other kindred musicians and composers. She also has experience in writing for twitch streams where she has written waiting screen music and music for end credits.

She resides in Boston, Massachusetts with her very energetic four year old dog, Gaia.
